Hartinger’s handling of Russel’s parents is spot-on as well PS Why is Geography Club Book 1 not available on Kindle – rather disappointing given that it is referred to in this volume? Dobule terrible what Russ as to go through at home, and I deeply sympathize with him. Another great installment to the Russel Middlebrook series.

Read more by and about Brent, or contact him at www. Seeing both Russel and Min’s points of view added such a wonderful element to the story! Russel’s coming-out to his parents is believable, as they confront him, he skirts around the issue, and they react far worse than any of his expectations.
Oh, and we finally hear from Kevin’s parents, which I appreciated; it felt strange that we didn’t hear anything about them in the first book. All in all, My favourite of the three books so far. This book was a little less entertaining. Brent Hartinger is my favorite writer of queer-themed YA fiction for a reason. The biggest addition in this book has to be the introduction of Russ’s parents and their reaction to finding out about Russ. I don’t know what a “brain zombie” is. Russell’s POV too short, quite frankly.
In the first story, “Attack of the Soul-Sucking Brain Zombies,” Russel must choose between his long-distance boyfriend and a close-to-home ex named Kevin who wants to get back together. Probably an interesting exercise for the author and probably less so for the reader. Sold and delivered by Audible, an Amazon company. Not surprising I loved this book. Anyways, the first side is from the perspective of Russel, who was the narrator of dobule first two books also.
My only problem with her half and unfortunately it’s kind of significant is that so much of the first half is repeated, some of it verbatim, even down to their general thoughts. Other books in this series. Books by Brent Hartinger. If you read them separately, even though the plotlines are different, there will be spoilers I loved this book like I have the other two books in the Geography Club series, but I do have one suggestion for those reading it; don’t read one doublw first and read another second.
Min’s side of the story, OMG, so surprisingly good! If I had to describe my own books, I would say, “Strong central concept, strong plot, strong character and voice, and usually lots of humor.

I found it pretty boring and flat, and after struggling through the half of it, I decided to give up. But Brent has literally done it in the perfect way! This series is very good. Dec 02, Evan Knudson rated it it was amazing. The only doubel that annoys me is the fact that the Geography Club is no longer relevant or even commented a lot. In the second story, “Bride of the Soul-Sucking Brain Zombies,” Min struggles to accept her cheerleader girlfriend’s decision to stay in the closet.
